Where am I?
There are so many ways to answer a
question like this. Where am I on this planet, in the state, in the school, or
in life.
As I am writing this I am in Aurora, where
I spend most of my time. Our community is full of all types of people, everyone’s
personality, faults, and accomplishments are amplified in such a small
community because everyone knows everyone’s business, this can be a good or a
bad thing. When you Have done something
good you have more benefits and you will get more praise and attention which
will cause you to want to do good more often. Also out small community is full
of positive peer pressure since everyone knows your business everyone will know
about all your mistakes and your past. This causes people to want to avoid doing
things that would tarnish their reputations. One of the downfalls of living in
such a small community is the fact that small problems seem to be a huge deal. As much as I dislike that about our rural
community I think that it was a good place to grow up and gain values that you
will carry through your life that you just wouldn’t get in a big town or city.
I plan to raise my children in a small community because of the awesome
upbringing I got from aurora.
The reasons why I chose these pictures as
a representation of my community I feel are kind of obvious. When I think about
Aurora I think about our beautiful but crumbling brick roads that bring out the
worst in my car. Even though they can be are a nuisance at times and they might
not even be that old but I think they definitely add to the town. Obviously I
had to add the courthouse to what represents the community. Besides being a
beautiful building at the center of our town all of the legal proceedings that
protect our community happen in this building it definitely makes it blog
worthy.
As far as where I am in my life I feel
like I am just about to start it,
right now I haven’t decided where I want
to go to college and spend the next four years of my life. I am considering
going out of state where I can get a sense of life outside of Nebraska. Where I
go to college next year can change the course of my life. My ideal life plan
would be to travel after I graduate college and maybe even go abroad during
college. I want to see some of the world before I settle down with a family or
such things. I think seeing how the rest of the world lives helps to create a
well-rounded person.
These are the pictures that I chose for my
home,
the first one is my dog nugget. How can
you not fall in love with that face? There are so many words to describe him
ornery, annoying, cute and cuddly I could go on all day but he is just all
around loveable. He is my baby and he knows it, he gets away with everything
and he knows it but the truth is my home would not be the same without him.
The second picture I chose was my little
corner in the back yard. In the summer
it is one of my favorite places to be usually you can catch me siting back on
our swing with a good book and some tea. Going back there now that it is so
cold is kind of sad, it makes me remember how much I miss summer and how much I
am dreading the snow.

Andrea,
ReplyDeleteI particularly like your photos of home and the outdoor photos of the roads and the river. And who could not fall in love with Nugget? Adorable. I also think it is a good idea to travel while you are young. There are so many cool places to see in the world. Did you know you repeated the last paragraph?? Just checking. It's only 623 words. :(
